An innovative course in Stroud has provided crucial work-related support to unemployed people who have experienced mental health difficulties.

David addressed a meeting of the local Amnesty International Branch recently he spoke about his work as a member of the Women Peace and Security All Party Group - known as the 1325 Group after the United Nations Security Council Resolution.

On Saturday 6th February David took part in the annual ‘Specials Weekend organised by Inspector Steve Lindsay. This was an excellent opportunity for many of the Stroud Special Constables to get involved in a full scale operation.

On the 4th February David met up with a group called ‘Campaign for Better Transport’ he wanted to add his support for train passengers by recognising the number one concern: high fares ..

‘Can I congratulate all those responsible for organising the recent Ossie Stephens Tribute Concert at the Sub Rooms. The Concert that recreated one of 40 years ago which then as now featured both Chalford and Nailsworth bands. The fact that the Subs was packed for this occasion says a great deal about the folk of the Stroud District who love their music and their brass bands in particular.

David sets out the reasons for his opposition to the proposed closure of the Vale of Berkeley College. The Badman Review, which is the supposed starting point for the process that has led to this proposal, needs to be dissected and re-examined in order to make progress on what we all want to see, thriving secondary education in Gloucestershire.

Over the last few months the Mid-Cotswold Tracks and Group have been working really hard to raise funds to improve Gypsy Lane. David met up with representatives from the group on Friday 22nd January to congratulate them

Between Christmas and New Year my wife and I went to visit Annie Parftt's Hedgehog Hospital in Brimscombe. She is an inspiration character who is devoting her life to saving young hedgehogs who face early death unless someone intervenes to save them.
