On the 2nd July David attended an Operation Noah rally to show his support for the need to tackle climate change. Operation Noah is a Christian climate change campaign. They held a rally in central London to highlight the need for governments to tackle the threat of climate change at a crucial United Nations Summit in Copenhagen in December.

David welcomed plans to spend more UK overseas aid on helping poor people in states affected by conflict. The new policy was unveiled in a White Paper published by International Development Secretary, Douglas Alexander on the 6th July.

Last week I was one of a group of MPs that handed in a petition of 1.5m signatures to the Prime Minister. The petition was to seek to reduce the number of animals used in animal experimentation. As such it was part of the 'Uncaged' campaign which has been running for some years.
